Hi, I’m Niva!

I’m here because not many people thought I could be. Seriously…

But to be fair, 99% of the time, I can’t believe it, either. I wish I could go back and tell that young mom who’d decided to go to nursing school that this would pay off–BIG! That we would get to build up other people. That our work would change lives. That our daughter would go on to the college of her dreams and that our son would brag to his friends at school about what we do. That we’d be able to take care of our mom for the rest of her life just like we’d promised.

But the real flex of that paragraph is that we’re just getting started…

If you’re dedicated to bettering yourself and your techniques, to growing your business organically through amazing service clients rave about, to giving your clients the very best care and helping them love what they see in the mirror—I want you to be here, too.

My Story

I was encouraged and taught at a young age from my grandmother to care for my skin. She told me, that I had the gift of healing and to let it guide me. Skincare, make-up, curly hair products and skin treatments have surrounded me my entire life.

My spirit comes alive when I help others feel confident and beautiful. I became a massage therapist when I was nineteen years old and continued to practice for 16 years. In 2002, I began my career path as an aesthetician. I have never loved school so much. It was my dream come true.

Combining my love of face and body offered me career opportunities that changed my life. February of 2004, I started working for a cosmetic surgeon. I felt like I won the lottery, because beauty, medicine, art and science existed together. My daughter was born that same year and I became a mother to a beautiful biracial baby. My husband is Filipino and I am Mexican. Her lovely skin inspired me and made me ask more questions about skincare. My children have become my muse for biracial and deeper toned skin.

In 2014, I graduated nursing school and became a registered nurse and I’m so proud of myself. I was trained as a surgical/clinical nurse for a top cosmetic surgeon in San Antonio. During my four years there, I became an aesthetic nurse injector and received my CANS.

November of 2018, Bulverde Med Spa became my beauty home. My coworker Erica and I created a med spa that focuses on skin first and incorporates aesthetic injectables to compliment their skincare treatments.

I really am living my dream, and I am rejuvenated every time I guide someone to become an aesthetician or aesthetic nurse.

My personal life has been blessed with my husband and our three children. We enjoy traveling, going to the movies, hiking and trying new restaurants.
